Hearing Instrument Specialist
I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am the second born of five children. My father owned a restaurant chain, which kept him quite busy, and my mother cared for all five of us children while also attending college. It is because of their hard work that I count myself successful in attaining my education, secular career and religious beliefs.
In 2013, I married the love of my life Anna Karen. Being goal oriented, we work hard to travel and to give of ourselves in hospitable ways. I started my career in the hearing health industry in 2014, and found that it is my passion. I worked for a wonderful company in Indiana fitting and dispensing hearing aids before moving to the Rio Grande Valley to be closer to my wife’s beautiful family. Now we live in south Texas and I have the pleasure and privilege of working with NewSound Hearing Centers at the Harlingen office. I am excited to bring my energy, experience and expertise to help those in need of their hearing life being saved!
Audio Tech/Lab Tech
Chris Hull started working with NewSound Hearing Centers in 2009. She is an Audio Tech / Lab Tech in the Harlingen office. She began her career in the medical profession in her early twenties as a dialysis technician in an out-patient setting for a hospital in east Texas where she worked for 19 years. After many years of service in an acute setting she was offered another job within the hospital as a heart monitor technician in a recovery room. Since then she has always enjoyed caring for people.
Today, you can find Chris in our Harlingen office. She is passionate about helping people understand how important it is to hear better. Chris is hands on with her patients, checking ear canals for cerumen. She cleans their hearing aids, verifying sound quality and overall condition of their hearing aids to keep them hearing the best they can.
Patient Services Coordinator
Amanda Vallejo began working for NewSound Hearing Centers in Harlingen, TX in May of 2016. After many years of working as a flight attendant, Amanda developed a moderate hearing loss. Due to this she has a special connection with our patients because she personally understands the impact hearing loss has on an individual. Now, as the patient services coordinator for NewSound, Amanda is here to ensure all patients receive high quality care as they reach their hearing health goal! She is available to answer all questions regarding this process, as well as scheduling and arranging appointments, verifying insurance benefits, coordinating diagnostic hearing testing and more.
